Mohammad Ajmal Darman
President

Ajmal Darman is a highly accomplished professional with a background in both healthcare and media. He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at Khatam Al-Nabein University in Kabul, Afghanistan, and also holds a degree in Journalism from the Hira Institute of Modern Sciences. With over a decade of experience in Afghan media, Ajmal served as a news anchor for various television channels, including Ariana News, where he became a recognized and trusted voice for the Afghan public. Now based in Oklahoma, Ajmal Darman continues his dedication to public service as the President of the Oklahoma Afghan Society. In this role, he leads efforts to support Afghan immigrants through community engagement, cultural preservation, and social assistance, helping bridge the gap between Afghan families and the resources they need to thrive in the United States.

Mohammad Wali Darwish
Vice President

Mohammad Wali Darwish, originally from the Zadran tribe in Khost Province, Afghanistan, holds a degree in Agronomy from Sheikh Zayed University. He served as an officer in the Kabul Zero Unit and moved to the U.S. in August 2021. He currently plays a key leadership role in supporting the Afghan community in Oklahoma.

Maryam Wardak
Second Vice President

Maryam Wardak was born and raised in Kabul, Afghanistan. She studied dentistry for two years at Kabul Institute and gained hands-on experience in the dental field.She has worked for two years at Wiley Post School as a translator and educator. Maryam is currently serving as the Second Vice President of the Oklahoma Afghan Society, where she actively contributes to the community’s cultural, educational, and humanitarian efforts.

Zabihullah Srack
Deputy Treasurer

Zabihullah Srack was born in 1987 in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan. He completed his early education at Omara Khan High School in Kabul and later graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Dawat University in 2014. His native language is Pashto, and he is fluent in Dari, English, and Urdu. He actively serves the Afghan community as the Deputy Treasurer of the Oklahoma Afghan Society, helping manage financial matters and community support efforts.

Khyber Zwak
Spokesperson

Khyber Zwak is a dedicated professional with a background in International Relations from Tanweer University in Kunar, Afghanistan. He brings over six years of experience in the field, including four years of service with USAID in Afghanistan and two years working alongside American forces. His experience and deep commitment to service make him a valuable member of the Oklahoma Afghan Society, where he currently serves as a Spokesperson, helping amplify the voice of the community and promote cultural understanding.
